For the operation of the victim and witness assistance board; provided, that not less than $50,000 shall be expended for the Bobby Mendes Peace Legacy; provided further, that not less than $50,000 shall be expended for the Women Survivors of Homicide Movement; provided further, that the board shall submit a comprehensive report compiled from the information required of and submitted to the office by the registry of motor vehicles and the state treasurer relative to the collection of assessments for the previous calendar year under section 8 of chapter 258B of the General Laws; and provided further, that the report shall be submitted to the house and senate committees on ways and means not later than February 15, 2019 |

For the salaries and administration of the SAFEPLAN advocacy program to be administered by the Massachusetts office of victim assistance; provided, that not later than February 1, 2019, the office shall submit to the house and senate committees on ways and means a report detailing the effectiveness of contracting for the program including, but not limited to, the number and types of incidents to which the advocates responded, the types of services and service referrals provided by the domestic violence advocates, the cost of providing such services and the extent of coordination with other service providers and state agencies; and provided further, that SAFEPLAN services shall be maintained at the levels provided in fiscal year 2018 |
