4800-0151 | Placement Services for Juvenile Offenders For a program to provide alternative overnight non-secure placements for status offenders and nonviolent delinquent youths up to the age of 17 in order to prevent the inappropriate use of juvenile cells in police stations for such offenders, in compliance with the federal Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act of 1974, as amended; provided, that the programs which provide the alternative non-secure placements shall collaborate with the appropriate county sheriff's office to provide referrals of those offenders and delinquent youths to any programs within the sheriff's office designed to positively influence youths or reduce, if not altogether eliminate, juvenile crime |
