Mission:

The Executive Office of Elder Affairs (ELD) promotes the independence, empowerment, and well-being of older adults, individuals with disabilities, and their caregivers. The Home Care Program provides home and community-based services to over 55,000 elders. The Prescription Advantage Program provides out-of-pocket cost relief for prescription drugs to 39,000 consumers. Protective Services reviews and investigates over 31,000 reports of elder abuse, annually. Grants to Councils on Aging provide support to 350 cities and towns, supporting local Council on Aging services and programs available to over 1.5 million older adults across the Commonwealth.
