| 1599-0054 | Hinton Lab Response Reserve For a reserve for costs of the investigation and response related to the allegations of misconduct at the former state drug laboratories located in the town of Amherst and the Jamaica Plain section of the city of Boston, known as the Dr. William A. Hinton Laboratory at the State Laboratory Institute; provided, that the secretary of administration and finance may transfer funds from this item to state agencies as defined in section 1 of chapter 29 of the General Laws and to municipalities for this purpose; provided further, that the secretary of administration and finance shall report to the house and senate committees on ways and means quarterly, beginning October 1, 2018, detailing said transfers by line item; and provided further, that any funds from this item provided to any state laboratories shall be contingent upon the institute maintaining appropriate accreditations and continuing periodic audits |
