Mission:
The Massachusetts Office on Disability (MOD) was created in 1981, under Section 185 of Chapter 6 of the Massachusetts General Laws. MOD's purpose is to bring about full and equal participation of people with disabilities in all aspects of life. MOD works to assure the advancement of legal rights and the promotion of maximum opportunities, supportive services, accommodations and accessibility in a manner that fosters dignity and independence. MOD is the coordinating agency for the Americans with Disabilities Act.Governing Laws:
