MISSION
The Eastern District Attorney's Office represents the Commonwealth in criminal prosecutions that arise within its District, which is co-extensive with the former Essex County. In addition, the Office provides Victim/Witness Services related to those criminal cases. Also, within its District, the Office has enforcement power under the Open Meeting Law, seeks forfeiture of assets related to substance abuse cases, and has the right to appear in certain nuisance actions.Web Site:
