| 0511-0108 | Software License Fees Retained Revenue The secretary of the commonwealth may expend an amount not to exceed $50,000 for technical activities of the corporations division from the sale, transfer or license of the corporations division's software and related documents pertaining to its web-based searching and filing applications, including Uniform Commercial Code software, developed by the department of the secretary and copyrighted by it to other states, multi-state or regional associations, or other sovereign governments on terms and conditions that, in the secretary's sole discretion, reasonably compensate the commonwealth for its interests; provided, that notwithstanding any general or special law to the contraray, for the purpose of accommodating discrepancies between the receipt of retained revenues and related expenditures, the department may incur expenses and the comptroller may certify for payment amounts not to exceed the lower of this authorization or the most recent revenue estimate, as reported in the state accounting system |
