| 0330-3333 | Trial Court Retained Revenue The chief justice for administration and management may expend for the operation of the trial court an amount not to exceed $22,000,000 from fees charged and collected under section 3 of chapter 90C, chapter 185, section 22 of chapter 218 and sections 2, 4A, 4B, 4C, 39 and 40 of chapter 262 of the General Laws; provided, that the first $58,000,000 of revenue received from the fees shall be deposited in the General Fund and not retained; and provided further, that notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, for the purpose of accommodating timing discrepancies between the receipt of retained revenues and related expenditures, the chief justice may incur expenses and the comptroller may certify for payment amounts not to exceed one-half of the lower of this authorization or the most recent revenue estimate, as reported in the state accounting system |
