| 1110-1000 | Division of Administrative Law Appeals
For the operation of the division of administrative law appeals; provided, that the division shall maintain, to the fullest extent practicable, a complete physical and technological separation from any agency, department, board, commission or program the decisions, determinations or actions of which may be appealed to it; provided further, that a decision issued by a commissioner or other head of an agency, or a designee, following the issuance of a recommended decision by an administrative law judge shall be an agency decision subject to judicial review under chapter 30A of the General Laws; and provided further, that $100,000 shall be expended solely for contract hearing officers to hear older, backlogged cases referred to the division by the contributory retirement appeal board |
