8800-0001 Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency

For the operations of the Massachusetts emergency management agency; provided, that expenditures from this item shall be contingent upon the prior approval of the proper federal authorities; provided further, that the funds appropriated under this item shall not revert but shall be made available for these purposes through June 30, 2028; provided further, that the comptroller may certify for payment amounts not to exceed $5,000,000 in excess of the current appropriation; and provided further, that such expenditures shall be approved by the secretary of public safety and security, who shall cite a state of emergency declaration for each approved expenditure, in consultation with the secretary of administration and finance
