4513-1098 Services to Survivors of Homicide Victims

For the provision of statewide support services for survivors of homicide victims, including outreach services, burial assistance, grief counseling and other support services; provided, that funds shall be expended as grants in the aggregate amount of not less than $200,000 to the Louis D. Brown Peace Institute Corporation, a community--based support organization dedicated to serving families and communities impacted by violence; provided further, that not less than $100,000 shall be expended to Survivors Say, Inc. for direct support services to survivors and victims of both high--profile tragedies and other traumas and crimes; provided further, that not less than $10,000 shall be expended to the Darrell Lee Jenkins Jr. Resource Center, Inc. in the city of Springfield; and provided further, that the Louis D. Brown Peace Institute Corporation shall establish and administer a process to distribute not less than $100,000 to the Massachusetts Survivors of Homicide Victims Network organizations throughout the commonwealth in the form of grants
