2000-0102 Environmental Justice

For the executive office of energy and environmental affairs to implement an environmental justice strategy and promote and secure environmental justice; provided, that funds shall be expended on language translation services to ensure adequate access during public comment periods; provided further, that not later than March 3, 2027, the executive office shall submit a report to the house and senate committees on ways and means, which shall include, but not be limited to: (i) the number of full--time equivalent positions assigned to the executive office's environmental justice staff; (ii) the responsibilities held by the executive office's environmental justice staff; (iii) the status of environmental justice policies, strategies and initiatives being pursued for both the current and coming fiscal years; (iv) the efforts to expand language access through verbal and written materials, including the languages in which environmental justice policy and materials have been translated; and (v) the impact of language access initiatives on participation in public hearings and public comment periods; and provided further, that funds shall be expended on mapping technology to overlay environmental and public health data
