0940-0100 Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination

For the Massachusetts commission against discrimination; provided, that the commission shall pursue the highest allowable rate of federal reimbursement; provided further, that not later than March 5, 2026, the commission shall submit a report to the house and senate committees on ways and means on the: (i) number of currently pending cases and the number of cases under investigation and in post--probable cause, with the number of post--probable cause cases delineated by the number of cases in the conciliation, pre--public hearing and post--public hearing stages; (ii) number of cases pending before the commission in which a state agency or state authority is named as a respondent, delineating those cases by agency or authority; (iii) number of new cases filed in fiscal year 2025; (iv) number of cases closed by the commission in fiscal year 2025; and (v) average duration of cases closed by the commission in fiscal year 2025, delineated by cases that reached the conciliation, pre--public hearing and post--public hearing stages; provided further, that funds made available in this item shall be in addition to funds available in items 0940--0101 and 0940--0103; and provided further, that all non--clerical positions shall be exempt from chapter 31 of the General Laws
