7077-0023 Tufts School of Veterinary Medicine Program

For the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University; provided, that funds shall be expended under a resident veterinary tuition remission plan as approved by the commissioner of higher education for supportive veterinary services provided to the commonwealth; provided further, that funds from this item may support collaborative arrangements that may include teaching partnerships, articulation agreements or both with community colleges and vocational--technical schools that offer veterinary technician programs, veterinary health care programs or both approved by the board of higher education; provided further, that the school may work in consultation with the Norfolk county agricultural high school on veterinary programs; provided further, that the school may work in consultation with the Bristol county agricultural high school on veterinary programs; and provided further, that funds appropriated in this item shall support bioterrorism prevention research conducted in consultation with emergency authorities in the commonwealth relative to diseases that can be transmitted from animals to humans
