3000-7040 EEC Contingency Contract Retained Revenue

For the department of early education and care, which may expend not more than $520,000 for contingency contracts related to pursuing federal reimbursement or avoiding costs in its capacity as the single state agency under Title IV, Part E, of the Social Security Act, 42 U.S.C. chapter 7, subchapter IV, part E; provided, that notwithstanding any general or special law or regulation to the contrary, these contingency contracts shall not exceed 3 years except with prior review and approval by the executive office for administration and finance; and provided further, that for the purpose of accommodating timing discrepancies between the receipt of retained revenues and related expenditures, the department may incur expenses and the comptroller may certify for payment amounts not to exceed the lower of this authorization or the most recent revenue estimate as reported in the state accounting system
