7035-0008 Homeless Student Transportation

For reimbursements to cities, towns and regional school districts for the cost of transportation of nonresident pupils as required by the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act, Public Law 100-77, as amended; provided, that not later than February 18, 2025, the department of elementary and secondary education shall submit with the house and senate committees on ways and means a preliminary estimate of the costs eligible for reimbursement under this item in fiscal year 2026; and provided further, that the commonwealth's obligation shall not exceed the amount appropriated in this item
