For the maintenance and operation of the Soldiers' Home in Massachusetts, located in the city of Chelsea, including a specialized unit for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease patients; provided, that no fee, assessment or other charge shall be imposed upon or required of any person for any admission or hospitalization which exceeds the amount of fees charged in fiscal year 2023

Governor's veto explanation: I am reducing this item to an amount consistent with my House 1 recommendation, as additional funds are not needed to maintain operations at the Chelsea Soldiers' Home. My administration filed a $1.7 M PAC in the March supplemental budget to further support operations at Chelsea in FY24.
