For the nursing and allied health workforce development initiative, to develop and support strategies that increase the number of public higher education faculty members and students who participate in programs that support careers in fields related to nursing and allied health workforce; provided, that the amount appropriated in this item shall be transferred to the Massachusetts Nursing and Allied Health Workforce Development Trust Fund established under
section 33 of chapter 305 of the acts of 2008; provided further, that funds shall be transferred to the fund according to an allotment schedule adopted by the executive office for administration and finance; and provided further, that the secretary of the executive office of health and human services shall submit a report to the house and senate chairs of the joint committee on public health, the house and senate chairs of the joint committee on health care finance, the house and senate chairs of the joint committee on higher education, and the chairs of the house and senate committees on ways and means not later than March 2, 2027, detailing the expenditures out of the Massachusetts Nursing and Allied Health Workforce Development Trust Fund and both short and long-term strategies to increase the number of public and private higher education faculty and students who participate in programs that support careers in fields related to nursing and allied health
