7061-9400 Student and School Assessment

For student and school assessment including the development and implementation of related curriculum standards and instructional support, including the administration of the Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System exam established by the board of elementary and secondary education pursuant to sections 1D and 1I of chapter 69 of the General Laws; provided, that funding may be expended for the development of new high school assessments and assessments in history and social science; and provided further, that all school assessments shall center on the academic standards embodied in the curriculum frameworks and shall involve measures which shall be relevant and meaningful to students, parents, teachers, administrators, and taxpayers pursuant to the first paragraph of said section 1I of said chapter 69
