7027-1004 English Language Acquisition

For services that improve outcomes for English language learners, including, but not limited to, English language acquisition professional development to improve the academic performance of English language learners; provided, that funds shall be expended to implement the programs under chapter 71A of the General Laws; provided further, that funds may be expended for the professional development of vocational-technical educators who educate English language learners; provided further, that funds may be expended to administer the requirements under chapter 138 of the acts of 2017; provided further, that funds shall be expended for districts to provide support for middle and high school students deemed to be at risk of dropping out of school as a result of language barriers or challenges in English language acquisition; and provided further, that funds may be expended for programs or activities during the summer months
