For a transfer to the Massachusetts Life Science Center established in
section 3 of Chapter 23I of the General Laws for programming and operations that advance efforts related to life sciences and spurs economic growth in the Commonwealth; provided, that not less than $4,000,000 may be expended for internship and mentoring programs; provided further, that not less than $680,000 may be expended for STEM professional development programs, competitive grant programs, challenges, and other initiatives to improve health equity across the Commonwealth; provided further, that not less than $1,280,000 may be expanded to support the development and expansion of life sciences training, education, and equity programs, competitive grant programs, challenges, and other initiatives for Massachusetts K-12 students; and provided further, that not less than $1,200,000 million may be expended for regional economic and workforce development programs, competitive grant programs, challenges, and other initiatives to help different regions attract additional interest from companies and other life sciences organizations
