Section 10 Modernizing Lottery Operations 1

Section 26 of said chapter 10 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2022 Official Edition, is hereby amended by striking the first sentence and inserting in place thereof the following sentence:- The state treasurer shall, subject to the approval of the governor, appoint a director of the state lottery, hereinafter called the director, who shall serve at the pleasure of the state treasurer, shall devote his entire time and attention to the duties of his office and to such official duties specified by the state treasurer subject to the approval of the governor, and shall receive such salary as the commission may determine.

This section, along with other related sections, makes updates to increase compliance and maximize efficiency in lottery operations.
