7010-0033 English Language Acquisition and Literacy Programs

For programs to improve literacy and early literacy including, but not limited to, literacy programs that meet the needs of children who are at risk of third grade reading failure, and for programs to improve the English language acquisition and academic performance of English learners and effectively implement programs outlined in chapter 71A of the General Laws, as amended by chapter 138 of the acts of 2017; provided, that funds may be expended for the professional development of vocational-technical educators who educate English language learners; provided further, that funds may be expended to administer the requirements outlined in said chapter 71A; and provided further, that funds may be expended for programs or activities during the summer months
