| 8000-0600 | Executive Office of Public Safety For the office of the secretary, including the administration of the office of grants and research and the highway safety division, to provide matching funds for a federal planning and administration grant under 23 U.S.C. section 402; provided, that local police departments, sheriff departments, the department of state police, the department of correction and other state agencies, authorities and educational institutions with law enforcement functions as determined by the secretary that receive funds for the cost of replacement of bulletproof vests through the office of the secretary may expend without further appropriation these funds to purchase additional vests in the fiscal year in which they receive the reimbursements; and provided further, that the secretary may cumulatively transfer up to $160,000 to line items within the secretariat to fund costs of quarter point benefits authorized by collective bargaining agreements |
