Mission:
The Massachusetts Office for Victim Assistance (MOVA) is an independent state agency devoted to upholding and advancing the rights of crime victims. Established by law in 1984, the activities of MOVA are governed by the Victim and Witness Assistance Board, whose chair is the Attorney General and whose members include two District Attorneys and two crime victims/survivors. MOVA strives to provide innovative victim advocacy through outreach and education, policy and program development, direct service, legislative advocacy and grants management.Governing Laws:
