Programs targeted to promote security through emergency and crisis prevention, management, and resource distribution stemming from both man-made and natural disasters.

Description |

Air National Guard | For the purpose of funding the state portion of the joint federal/state maintenance of air wings and base facilities in support of air sovereignty, intelligence operations and training of Air Guard personnel. |
Army National Guard | For the purpose of maintaining armories and guard facilities, training and equipping personnel, and providing the state share of federal funding for Army National Guard Cooperative Agreement grants. |
Emergency Management and Operations | For the purpose of enhancing the Commonwealth's capacity to deal with hazardous and emergency situations, including natural disasters and technological and man-made hazards through planning and preparedness, hazard mitigation, 24/7 response and recovery capabilities, and mock disaster preparedness drills. |
Fire Training, Prevention, and Safety Services | For the purpose of promoting and enhancing public and firefighter safety through firefighter training, public education, policy development, code enforcement, fire investigation, and emergency response, including protecting the property within the Massachusetts Military Reservation, Otis Air National Guard Base and Coast Guard Air Station Cape Cod, and providing mutual aid to localities in the Commonwealth. |
