8315-1022 | Boiler Inspection For the department of public safety, which may expend an amount not to exceed $1,200,000 in revenues collected from fees for issuance of boiler and pressure vessel certificates and inspections; provided, that funds shall be expended for the operation of the department and for the purposes of addressing the existing boiler and pressure vessels inspection backlog; provided further, that funds shall be expended for hiring additional engineering inspectors or engineers; and provided further, that notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, for the purpose of accommodating timing discrepancies between the receipt of retained revenues and related expenditures, the department may incur expenses and the comptroller may certify for payment amounts not to exceed the lower of this authorization or the most recent revenue estimate, as reported in the state accounting system |
