The Commonwealth Health and Prevention Fund, recommended as part of the Governor's fiscal year 2011 fiscal plan, is funded with the proceeds from the fiscal year 2010removal of the sales tax exemption from alcohol, as well as the proposed sales tax repeal on sweetened beverages and candy. The revenues are being used for public health programs such as alcohol and tobacco addiction services, childhood health and nutrition services, and violence prevention. | |||
