| 0810-0399 | Workers' Compensation Fraud Investigation and Prosecution For the investigation and prosecution of workers' compensation fraud; provided, that notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the amount assessed for these costs shall be equal to the amount appropriated by this item and the associated fringe benefits costs for personnel paid from this item; provided further, that the office of the attorney general shall investigate and prosecute, when appropriate, employers who fail to provide workers' compensation insurance as required by law and those employers or employees who may seek to defraud the system; and provided further, that the unit shall investigate and report on all companies not in compliance with chapter 152 of the General Laws |
