4590-1507 | Youth At-Risk Matching Grants For matching grants to the Massachusetts Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs, Inc., the Alliance of Massachusetts YMCAs, Inc., the YWCA organizations, nonprofit community centers and teen empowerment and youth development programs; provided, that the department of public health shall award not less than $500,000 for competitively procured grants to youth at-risk programs utilizing an evidence-based positive youth development model, including programs that serve lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning youth; provided further, that the department of public health shall award not less than $1,600,000 to the Massachusetts Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs, Inc. which shall be distributed equally between the alliance's member organizations; provided further, that the department shall award not less than $1,300,000 to the Alliance of Massachusetts YMCAs, Inc. which shall be distributed between the alliance's member organizations; provided further, that not less than $100,000 shall be expended for the Center for Teen Empowerment, Inc.; provided further, that not less than $25,000 shall be allocated for Crossroads for Kids Inc. of the city of Boston and the town of Duxbury for their summer and year-round out-of-school program serving at-risk youth; provided further, that not less than $20,000 shall be expended to Youth Development Organization, Inc. in Lawrence; provided further, that not less than $20,000 shall be expended for The Attleboro Area Social Responsibility Consortium for a pilot transportation program; and provided further, that not less than $200,000 shall be expended for the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay Mentor 2.0 program |
