4590-0912 | Western Massachusetts Hospital Federal Reimbursement Retained For the department of public health, which may expend not more than $21,650,862 from reimbursements collected for Western Massachusetts hospital services, subject to the approval of the commissioner of public health; provided, that notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the Western Massachusetts hospital shall be eligible to receive and retain full payment under the medical assistance program administered by the executive office of health and human services under chapter 118E of the General Laws for all goods and services provided by the hospital under federal requirements; and provided further, that for the purpose of accommodating timing discrepancies between the receipt of retained revenues and related expenditures, the department may incur expenses and the comptroller may certify for payment amounts not to exceed the lower of this authorization or the most recent revenue estimate as reported in the state accounting system |
