4518-0200 | Vital Records Research Cancer and Community Data For the department of public health, which may expend not more than $683,545 generated by fees collected from the following services provided at the registry of vital records and statistics: amendments of vital records, requests for vital records not issued in person at the registry, requests for heirloom certificates and research requests performed by registry staff at the registry; provided, that revenues so collected may be used for all program costs, including the compensation of employees; provided further, that the registrar of vital records and statistics shall exempt from payment of a fee any person requesting a verification of birth for the purpose of establishing eligibility for Medicaid; and provided further, that for the purpose of accommodating timing discrepancies between the receipt of retained revenues and related expenditures, the department may incur expenses and the comptroller may certify for payment amounts not to exceed the lower of this authorization or the most recent revenue estimate as reported in the state accounting system |
