| 7061-9634 | Mentoring Matching Grants For a transfer of this item to the Massachusetts Service Alliance, which shall be responsible for administering a competitive statewide grant program for public and private agencies to start or expand youth mentoring programs according to current best practices and for purposes including advancing academic performance, self-esteem, social competence and workforce development; provided, that the department of elementary and secondary education shall transfer the amount appropriated in this item to the Massachusetts Service Alliance for the purpose of these grants; provided further, that in order to be eligible to receive funds from this item, each public or private agency shall provide a matching amount equal to $1 for every $1 disbursed from this item; and provided further, that the Massachusetts Service Alliance shall submit a report detailing the impact of grants, expenditure of funds and the amount and source of matching funds raised to the department of elementary and secondary education FMAP Budget Relief Fund 60.000% |
