7030-1005 Targeted Tutorial Literacy Program
For Reading Recovery, an early intervention individual tutorial literacy program designed as a pre-special education referral and short-term intervention for children who are at risk of failing to read in the first grade; provided, that not less than $500,000 shall be expended for matching grants to school districts to support the funding of Reading Recovery teachers salaries in one-to-one early intervention tutorial literacy programs; and provided further, that said program shall provide ongoing documentation and evaluation of results
