2200-0102 | Wetlands Permitting Fee Retained Revenue The department of environmental protection may expend an amount not to exceed $1,200,000 from revenues collected from fees collected from wetland permits; provided, that notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, for the purpose of accommodating timing discrepancies between the receipt of revenues and related expenditures, the department may incur expenses and the comptroller may certify for payment the amounts not to exceed the lower of this authorization or the most recent revenue estimate as reported in the state accounting system; provided further, that the department shall submit a report by January 11, 2008 on implementation of the wetlands fee, the amount of the fee increase and the revenue that has been collected; and provided further, that the wetlands fees that will be directed into the General Fund shall not be lower than the amount deposited at the end of fiscal year 2004 |
