MassDOT Transferability

SECTION 35.   Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2016, the amounts specified in items 1595-6368, 1595-6369 and 1595-6370 of Section 2E of the General Appropriations Act may be distributed among the Massachusetts Department of Transportation, Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, or regional transit authorities in amounts determined by a schedule submitted to the comptroller by the secretary of transportation, at his or her sole discretion, to facilitate needed investment in preventative maintenance and asset preservation. Any such transfer shall be made not later than August 30, 2016.
