The Commonwealth Health and Prevention Fund, established in House 2 collects revenues generated from the elimination of the existing sales tax exemptions on the purchase of soda and candy. Monies appropriated from this fund will support programs and services administered by the Department of Public Health that augment the health and well-being of the citizens of the Commonwealth, specifically programs related to addiction services, children and family health and health promotion.
