4590-0912 | Western Massachusetts Hospital Federal Reimbursement Retained The department of public health may expend for the operation of the western Massachusetts hospital an amount not to exceed $16,953,548 from reimbursements collected for western Massachusetts hospital services; provided, that notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the hospital shall be eligible to receive and retain full reimbursement from the Medicaid program; provided further, that notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the hospital shall reimburse the General Fund for a portion of employee benefit expenses, according to a schedule submitted by the commissioner of public health and approved by the secretary of administration and finance; provided further, that this reimbursement shall not exceed 10 per cent of total personnel costs for the hospital; and provided further, that notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, for the purpose of accommodating timing discrepancies between the receipt of retained revenues and related expenditures, the department may incur expenses and the comptroller may certify for payment amounts not to exceed the lower of this authorization or the most recent revenue estimate, as reported in the state accounting system |
