Mission:
The mission of the Department of Fish and Game is to exercise stewardship responsibility over the Commonwealth's marine and freshwater fisheries, wildlife species, plants, and natural communities, as well as the habitats required to support these resources; to conserve and restore the state's rivers, streams, lakes, ponds, wild lands and coastal waters; and to ensure the responsible practice of hunting, trapping and fishing both inland and marine.Governing Laws:
