SECTION 170.
The registrar of motor vehicles shall issue a report on the implementation of sections 75 to 77, inclusive. The report shall include: (i) the overall fiscal impact to the registry of motor vehicles; (ii) the number of distinctive license plates issued in the commonwealth; (iii) software programming costs associated with the production of new distinctive license plates; and (iv) any other cost impacts or savings directly or indirectly related to the implementation of said sections 75 to 77, inclusive. The registrar shall file the report with the clerks of the house of representatives and senate, the chairs of the house and senate committees on ways and means and the chairs of the joint committee on transportation not later than January 15, 2017.
