SECTION 119.
Section 11 of chapter 211D of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by striking out, in lines 9 and 10, the words "$50 per hour; for children and family law cases, care and protection cases," and inserting in place thereof the following words:- $53 per hour; for children and family law cases and care and protection cases the rate of compensation shall be $55 per hour; for.
Veto Explanation:
I am vetoing this section because it sets rates that become effective in fiscal year 2017. I believe it is not appropriate to raise rates for this important program without addressing overall cost issues in a comprehensive manner.
