For the Eastern district attorney's office, including the victim and witness assistance program, the child abuse and sexual assault prosecution program and the domestic violence unit; provided, that 50 per cent of fees payable pursuant to Massachusetts Rules of Criminal Procedure 15 (d) and 30 (c)(8) for appeals taken by the office shall be paid from this item; provided further, that no assistant district attorney shall be paid an annual salary of less than $37,500; and provided further, that at least 30 days before transferring any funds authorized in this item from the AA object class, the district attorney shall notify the house and senate committees on ways and means of its intention to make that transfer |
