| 7010-0020 | Bay State Reading Institute For the Bay State Reading Institute; provided, that the program shall be administered under contract to Middlesex Community College in programmatic collaboration with Framingham State University and Fitchburg State University; provided further, that the Institute shall provide literacy based intervention in districts and schools found by the department of elementary and secondary education to be at levels 3, 4, and 5 with preference for schools and districts at levels 4 and 5 in accordance with sections 1J and 1K of chapter 69 of the General Laws; provided further, that the student evaluations shall be compared to measurable goals and benchmarks that have been developed in consultation with the school-based planning team; provided further, that funds appropriated in this item for this initiative may be expended through June 30, 2013; and provided further, that the bay state reading institute shall provide to the house and senate committees on ways and means and the joint committee on education a report detailing, by school, program success in meeting measurable goals and benchmarks |
