8910-0160 | Reimbursement from Housing Federal Inmates Retained Revenue
For a retained revenue account for the Middlesex sheriff's department for reimbursements from the federal government for costs associated with the incarceration of federal inmates at the Billerica house of correction; provided, that the department may expend for the operation of the department an amount not to exceed $850,000 from revenues collected from the incarceration of federal inmates; provided further, that notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, for the purpose of accommodating timing discrepancies between the receipt of retained revenues and related expenditures, the department may incur expenses and the comptroller may certify for payment amounts not to exceed the lower of this authorization or the most recent revenue estimate therefore as reported in the state accounting system; and provided further, that all expenditures from this item shall be subject to chapter 29 of the General Laws and recorded on the Massachusetts management accounting and reporting system |
